Story
The novel Malikappuram tells the story of a young girl who lives in a Hindu family and listens to stories about Lord Ayyappa and the mountain of Sabarimala, where it is believed that Lord Ayyappa himself appears in the form of a Divya Jyothi. Malikappuram follows the girl as she matures into an adult (Sacred Light). After listening to all of these stories, she finds that she can’t stop thinking about that location, so she requests that her father accompany her there.
Her father is unable to take her to Sabarimala at the moment due to financial constraints, but he has assured her that he will do so in the future. A young girl makes the decision to visit the location, but she doesn’t tell her parents about it. Instead, she and her companion decide to travel to Sabarimala without informing her parents of their whereabouts.
