Actress Lavanya Tripathi has significantly slowed down her film appearances after marrying actor Varun Tej. The actress has been selective about her projects and has appeared in only a few films in recent years. Among her delayed releases was “Sathi Leelavathi,” which finally hit theatres earlier this month after facing multiple postponements.
Despite some curiosity surrounding the project, the film failed to impress audiences after its theatrical release and ended up receiving disastrous reviews and poor box office response. Now, the makers are hoping for a better reception on digital platforms.
Within just two weeks of its theatrical run, “Sathi Leelavathi” is all set for its OTT premiere. Popular streaming platform Sun NXT has officially acquired the digital rights of the movie and announced that it will begin streaming from May 20, 2026. The film will be available simultaneously in both Telugu and Tamil languages.
The movie features Lavanya Tripathi Konidela in the lead role alongside Dev Mohan. The supporting cast includes Naresh, VTV Ganesh, Sapthagiri, Motta Rajendran, Jaffer Sadiq, Joshi, and several others who play important roles in the film.
“Sathi Leelavathi” was produced by Naaga Mohan under the banner of Durga Devi Pictures, while Tatineni Satya directed the project. The film’s music was composed by Mickey J. Meyer, with cinematography handled by Binendra Menon and editing by Sathish Surya.
Although the movie struggled during its theatrical release, the makers are expecting the OTT audience to give it a fresh chance after its digital premiere on Sun NXT. Fans of Lavanya Tripathi and family comedy dramas may look forward to watching the film online from May 20, 2026.
