Movie Verdict

In terms of plot, realism, and execution, Chinni is a one-of-a-kind film. Chinni is not a film meant to be seen in a theatre, so the decision to not release it in theatres was correct. Because the narrator of the film is slow, it will take some time for the audience to connect with the story and characters. However, once you begin to travel with the main characters, you’ll discover that this dark and gritty drama is a lot of fun.
Chinni, as played by Keerthy Suresh, has just nailed it; this is going to be her best film and performance. De-glamorized roles always put a strain on an actor’s ability to deliver, and she did so effortlessly. The gentle intensity he displayed in his eyes as Sangayya was rendered speechless. Selvaraghvan’s portrayal of Sangayya was purely fictitious. The director employs a lot of close-up shots because he is aware of these two actors’ abilities.
From a technical standpoint, Chinni looks fantastic; director Arun Matheswaran did an outstanding job in every way, and Yamini Yagnamurthy’s cinematography is one of the film’s major highlights; the shot compositions, and colour pallet, everything worked out beautifully in the process of creating a new world, and Sam CS’s background score elevated the film to a new level, and the rest of the cast performed admirably.
Finally, Chinni is a must-see film, but it is not for everyone; it appeals to a specific audience, and Chinni is the best choice for those who enjoy intense, raw, and gritty films. It’s available on Amazon Prime Video.
