Andra Pradesh govt decides to reopen schools from November 2: The Andhra Pradesh government has planned to restart schools from November 2, 2020. The date to reopen the schools may be tentative as the final decision will be made depending on the condition of the states in upcoming days.

Earlier the AP Govt had decided to reopen the schools on 2nd October 2020 as the mark of Gandhi Jayanthi. However, it was postponed to November 2 due to the rise of Covid-19 cases in the state.
AP Chief Minister YS Jagan said that the Govt would introduce pre-primary education from the next academic year. The government has plans to offer coaching classes for competitive exams like state conducted AP EAMCET, JEE, IIIT, to name a few in junior government colleges.
The AP Govt has transformed Telugu medium schools to English Medium schools on par with private schools. For due implementations of English medium in government schools, the Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan has directed to create state-level director range posts.
A joint director post for monitoring schemes related to education will be constituted at every district for enhancing the quality of education in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
