When will Amma Odi amount be credited?
AP CM Jagan Mohan has initiated a flagship program AMMA VODI as part of “Navarathanalu “ for catering financial help to every mother or guardian who is poor regardless of caste, creed, region, and religion to let her educate her child from 1-12th (Intermediate Education ) in all Government, private, Jr.
Colleges including residential schools / Colleges across the state from the Academic year 2019-2020. As part of this Jagannana AMMA VODI scheme, Rs. 15000/- will be given to every mother.
The major objective of this AMMA VODI scheme is to remove financial constraints from poverty-stricken families who couldn’t afford to send their kids to pursue education. This financial assistance helps poor people send their children to schools without any financial hurdles. This scheme is to enhance the literacy ratio of Andhra Pradesh and encourage the parents to send their children to schools.
It’s estimated that most students are dropping from schools to help their parents in menial work, and labor work to earn money. As a result, they stop going to schools. AP Govt has come forward with a novel scheme to ensure that no child would be employed and motivated every parent to send their kids to school. In addition to the financial amount, AP Govt has transformed Telugu medium to English medium schools. So that they can study on par with private schools.
As per the sources, the assured amount Rs. 15,000/- for the academic year 2019-2020 year will be credited into each beneficiaries’ account in the next year before the next academic year 2020-2021 commence.
