YSR Arogya Asara Schem: The Andhra Pradesh Govt has initiated the YSR Arogya Asara scheme to help the poor for any ailments by assisting financially with maximum Rs. 5000 per month.
The main objective of this scheme is to offer a helping hand in terms of the amount by giving Rs. 225 per day or an Rs. 5,000 per month. The wage-loss compensation will be given to around 836 surgeries in 26 specialized areas.
This scheme has been executed by the Department of Supervision and Health Welfare, Andhra Pradesh.
Benefits availed by Citizens
The Andhra Pradesh Govt will bear all expenses for the treatment of any disease or ailment the patient has undergone post the patient has been discharged from hospitals.
The amount from the AP govt will help meet the financial needs of the family and medications.
The assured amount will be credited to the beneficiary account directly. Under this scheme, the patient will get a maximum of Rs. 225 per day or Rs. 5000/- per day.
If the beneficiary doesn’t have an account, the amount will be deposited into relatives’ accounts.
The Eligibility criteria to avail this scheme
This scheme can only be availed by permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh.
This scheme is applicable for people who belong to ST, SC, OBC, and minority groups.
The beneficiary is supposed to get an admission from the list of hospitals chosen by the State Health Department.
People who belong to BPL and marginal people are eligible for this scheme.
