Movie Verdict

One example of a movie that opts to explore human experience rather than technical mastery is Wonder Woman. The characters and situations in this film are what make it stand out, despite a lacklustre plot. You may find yourself reflecting on the struggles of real-life friends and family members via each of the characters. Also, the film dispels myths and sheds light on the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy. The pacing isn’t for everyone because the film takes its time establishing its characters and setting.

It’s impossible to pick a weak performance out of this cast. Nithya Menen had a solid performance, while Parvathy Thiruvothu is another actress who consistently gives excellent turns. Padmapriya returns to the film industry after a long absence, and her performance in this film left me speechless.

In Bollywood, Amruta Subhash is one of the most talented performers but gets little credit for her work. On-screen, Nadia Moidu delivered a stunning performance. Excellent work was turned forth by both Sayanora Phillip and Archana Padmini. Actors in supporting roles carried out their duties as the plot required.

Wonder Woman seems impressive on paper. Govind Vasantha’s score set the right mood for the film’s depiction of human feeling. Manesh Madhavan aimed to brighten up the film by capturing some beautiful sceneries. The editing by Praveen Prabhakar is flawless, and the pacing of the entire film is superb. The production values are very high.

Anjali Menon, the film’s director, once again displayed her talent as a writer and an actor of nuance and depth of character. Although the film moves at a seemingly slow pace, the narration is essential in order to provide a full picture of the characters and their environments.

If you’re in the mood for a heartfelt drama this weekend, I highly recommend Wonder Women, which is currently streaming on Sony Liv OTT.
