Filmmaker duo Raj & DK have shared an exciting update on their much-anticipated web series Farzi 2, sending fans into a frenzy. The first season of Farzi marked the OTT debut of Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and went on to become a blockbuster hit on Prime Video, registering record-breaking viewership numbers.
Directed by Raj & DK, Farzi Season 1 received widespread acclaim for its gripping narrative, sharp performances, and stylish execution. The season concluded with a major cliffhanger, setting the stage for an intense face-off between Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kay Kay Menon, which left audiences eagerly waiting for the next chapter.
On Monday, Raj & DK took to social media to officially confirm that Farzi 2 is currently in production. The director duo shared a picture from the sets and captioned it “Round 2 in progress,” subtly teasing fans about the progress of the second season.
According to industry reports, Farzi 2 is expected to premiere in the second half of 2026 on Prime Video. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the exact release date or streaming window.
Given the massive success of the first season, expectations for Farzi Season 2 are extremely high. Trade experts believe the upcoming season is likely to generate huge traction on OTT, similar to — or even bigger than — its predecessor.
Apart from Shahid Kapoor, the web series also stars Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Kavya Thapar in key roles, all of whom played a significant part in the success of Season 1.
