Story
Dongata depicts the lives of an ordinary couple, Prasad (Suraj Venjaramood) and Sreeja (Nimisha Sajayan), who are newlyweds struggling to cope with their lives as a result of their inter caste marriage. Despite the fact that Prasad and Sreeja decided to sell her gold chain for survival, the gold chain was stolen during the bus ride by a cunning and innocent thief. The couple reported the thief to the police, who began questioning him, but he refused to accept responsibility for the crime. Will he eventually accept the case and tell the rest of the story?

Movie Verdict
This film’s three actors, Fahadh Faasil, Suraj Venjaramood, and Nimish Sajayan, are more than adequate. Dileesh Pothen has done an outstanding job of creating beautiful characters that are relevant to our daily lives. Despite the film’s simple plot, Dileesh Pothen has created a masterpiece.
Fahadh Faasil, who plays the thief, is completely immersed in the role, effortlessly conveying his innocence and cunning. Suraj Venjaramoodu also did his character justice, effortlessly portraying a middle-class husband’s thought process and body language, and Nimisha Sajayan is one of our most talented actresses, fitting perfectly into the role of a middle-class housewife. and the rest of the cast was fantastic.
Dileesh Pothen has succeeded in creating relatable characters and in keeping the audience interested. The comedy and interrogation scenes work well, but the film’s pace is a little slow at first. However, once you get into the characters’ heads, you’ll enjoy the movie.
Dongata’s technical brilliance is demonstrated by Rajeev Ravi’s brilliance in close-up shots. Bijipal’s music complements each scene perfectly.
