Soori’s latest Tamil film Mandaadi is reportedly gearing up for its digital premiere after its theatrical release in September. The Tamil sports action drama, directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, combines the excitement of a traditional sailboat race with an intense rivalry between two opposing groups.
The film stars Soori in the lead role, alongside Suhas and Mahima Nambiar. Veteran actor Sathyaraj is also part of the cast. While Mandaadi is currently making its way through its theatrical run, reports about its OTT release have already started generating interest among Tamil cinema audiences.
Mandaadi OTT Release Date
According to the latest reports, Mandaadi is expected to premiere on Netflix on October 08, 2026. However, the streaming platform or the filmmakers are yet to officially confirm the reported OTT release date.
The film is also expected to be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, giving it a wider reach across audiences in India. Until an official announcement is made, viewers should consider October 9 as a reported OTT release date rather than a confirmed date.
Mandaadi Theatrical Release
Mandaadi was released in theatres on September 10, 2026. The film marks another prominent lead role for Soori, who has increasingly been taking on serious and performance-oriented characters in Tamil cinema.
The movie blends sports, action, and drama, with the traditional sailboat race serving as the central backdrop for the story.
What Is Mandaadi About?
The story revolves around a traditional sailboat race in South India. What begins as a sporting competition gradually becomes part of a much larger conflict involving two rival groups.
The central rivalry is between Kaali’s group and Saattaappuli’s group. Their long-standing confrontation adds tension to the sporting event as the characters prepare to compete in the traditional race.
The combination of a culturally rooted sporting event and a conflict between rival groups forms the core of Mandaadi’s narrative.
Soori, Suhas and Mahima Nambiar Lead the Cast
Soori plays the titular character in Mandaadi and leads the film’s cast. Suhas, who has established himself through Telugu cinema, makes his Tamil film debut with this project.
Mahima Nambiar is also part of the principal cast, while veteran actor Sathyaraj adds further strength to the ensemble. The supporting cast includes Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan and Stun Siva, among others.
Mandaadi OTT Platform
If the latest reports turn out to be accurate, Netflix will be the OTT platform streaming Mandaadi after its theatrical run. The reported multilingual release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi could help the film reach audiences beyond Tamil Nadu.
With its theatrical release already completed in September, Mandaadi is now attracting attention from viewers waiting for its digital premiere. The film’s combination of sports, action, traditional culture, and group rivalry could make it an interesting OTT watch.
For now, October 9, 2026 is the reported Mandaadi OTT release date on Netflix. An official confirmation regarding the streaming date and language availability is still awaited.
