West Indies have produced an all-rounder who can bat and bowl at a rapid pace. Jofra is the one among them in the list. Though Jofra played for his home country West Indies, West Indies Cricket Board has not shown much interest in him. In addition to this, a continuous back injury checked his progress in cricketing.

His fellow cricketer Chris Jordan suggested him to his club Sussex. As a result, he was picked in the shorter formats as well. The performance in Big Bash League (BBL) in Australia has fetched a global recognition.  He, with natural ability, played well at ease in all formats.

Jofra couldn’t get a place in the preliminary 15-member World Cup squad, though he was the most talked-about player before the mega event began. He made his ODI debut against Ireland and Pakistan before the World Cup.

To make him in the list of 15 man England squad, England Cricket Board relaxed qualification norms to let him play for England. He continued his test debut against arch-rival Australia and won with 22 wickets from four tests. Rajasthan Royals chose to retain him for IPL 2020. He can bowl the slower ball and the Yorker.
