AP house construction latest news: Housing department chief secretary Ajay Jain has directed the authorities to make the housing construction finish by the Sankranti festival. The concerned authorities are ordered to prepare the list of beneficiaries, survey code, mapping, and Geo-tagging by December 31st.
Project directors were given training for one day at the housing construction office at Tadepalli. Ajay Jain speaking on this aspect, “the State Government begins the construction of 15lakhs houses.
For this raw material, the state government is going to purchase and transport it. Besides, reverser tendering be conducted if the department feels the necessity. The government will provide all infrastructure necessities like drinking water, electricity, street roads, and other amenities”.
The amount for contrition of houses will be borne collectively by the Union government and State government and loans from housing institutions like Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO).

The AP Government initially made an announcement to build 25 lakh houses for the poor. However, after coming to power, the AP government has increased to around 30 lakhs new houses for houseless poor people as it was one of the poll promises made by Jagan Mohan Reddy during his election campaign.
15 lakh houses will be built in the first phase by 2020. The rest of the houses will be built in 2022. All lands sites were identified and surveyed.
The development works started. The House site will be enrolled in the name of the women in the beneficiaries’ families. The total project costs would be around Rs. 90,000 crores. Every house will be built with Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
